2. Refund Policy for Ucademy Online Course

At Ucademy, we are committed to offering quality online courses that help you achieve your academic goals. To ensure customer satisfaction, we have established a comprehensive refund policy that covers various aspects of our services.

2.1) No Sweat Guarantee: 100% No Questions Asked Within the First 14 Days

We understand that our courses may not always be the right fit for everyone. To give you peace of mind, we offer a no sweat guarantee. If you decide that the course isn't right for you within the first 14 days of your enrolment, you can request a full 100% refund, no questions asked. Simply contact our customer support team, and we will process your refund without any hassle.

The 14 day money back guarantee is only valid on purchases made prior to Feb 1st, for that exam year.

2.2) 100% Refund if Grades A/A* Not Achieved Upon Completion of Full Course (Official Proof Required)

We are confident in the quality of our courses and the ability of our instructors to help you achieve top grades. If you complete the full course and do not achieve a grade of A or A*, you are eligible for a 100% refund. You need to sit an official exam board exam in which it is possible to get an A*/A in the subject. You must provide official proof of your grade from your exam board within 14 days. Once we verify your claim, we will issue a full refund.

Please note that you must have completed the entire course, including all assignments, assessments and any recommendations made by Ucademy consultants, to qualify for this refund.

2.3) 30 Day Challenge Conditions:

For our 30 Day Challenge, there is no refund policy within the month, unless the work that has been set is completed.

2.4)
We operate a fair use refund policy:

This means we reserve the right not to refund the course if we feel you are taking advantage of the refund policy. Examples of taking advantage of the refund policy include, but are not limited to:

  • Non-compliance with Ucademy's Instructions: If you fail to follow the instructions provided by Ucademy, such as not adhering to course guidelines, not using the recommended resources, or not following our advice on study strategies at any stage, we cannot issue a refund. Our instructors and support team are here to help you succeed, but it is crucial that you follow their guidance to achieve the best results.

  • Using premium services such as live tutor lessons: Some of our premium services include tutoring lessons. As we have to pay the tutor for this time, it’s not fair to expect us to refund you if you have used these services. If only a proportion has been used then we would work out a fair proportion to refund.

  • Waiting too long to advise us of a refund, if you are in any way unhappy with the course please contact us immediately so we can take action to correct it.

  • Not contacting us before exams if you are unhappy with the course.

  • Using the course to study for exams and then requesting a refund around the time of your exam. This applies to all of our courses but especially applies to our "Beat The UCAT" course which is time sensitive.

  • Using a significant proportion of the course before asking for a refund. We believe that you should be able to decide whether the course is working for you or not before you have almost completed the course. If the course is not working for you, we encourage you to stop using it and ask for a refund before you get more than 5% of the way through. Students who have completed more of the course than this are not eligible for a refund.

  • Any indications of copyright abuse or “competitor shopping”.

  • Sharing privately issued coupon codes to others.

  • Minor missing content and / or errors. We do our best to make sure that the course is as complete and accurate as possible but no one can guarantee perfection. If you believe that there are significant omissions and errors then please advise us in the first instance and give us a chance to fix it.

  • Lack of Engagement: If you choose not to engage with the course materials, attend classes, or complete assignments, we cannot offer a refund. It is your responsibility to actively participate in the course to maximise your learning experience. Paying for the course is one way we encourage students to actually use the course. Because, if students get it for free they will be less likely to “do the work”. Not doing enough work is evidence of students not even trying.

  • A user’s own technical difficulties.

  • User excuses: “Not having enough time” etc. is not an excuse that will get you a good grade and it’s not an excuse that carries water with us either. If there is a tragedy that is out of your control such a death in the family, major sickness, major accident we will of course send you our best wishes and refund you.

  • Language difficulties: in order to benefit from the course it is expected that users have a strong grasp of the English language.

  • Falsified information: if a user provides invalid information upon enrolment, such as email address, name, year of study, or exam board they do not qualify for the money back guarantee.

  • When a student skips ahead in the videos, takes notes or screen shots, but does not actually hit play, our system records it. Every time a student does this, it will be considered a ‘video watch’ and will be added to the percentage that they have completed.

  • Students who enrol in the course, binge watch tutorials, and then request a refund are not eligible for a refund. This would be considered ‘taking advantage’ of our money back guarantee.

  • The money back guarantee does NOT apply during exams.
  • Students who choose to enrol in the course so close to exams may not have enough time to complete the course, and we can not be held responsible for students who have not designated the proper amount of time to revise.

By enrolling in a Ucademy online course, you agree to adhere to our refund policy. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please feel free to contact our customer support team.

3. Payment plans

3.1 Cancellation of Payment plans

Payment plans are on-going, and students may NOT cancel at any time. This is a payment plan where students get increased purchasing power and the ability to manage their cash flow. This means that the full payment of the course is expected.

3.2 Credit Reporting

It's important for students to understand the potential credit implications of not adhering to the agreed payment plan. If a payment plan is cancelled and the outstanding balance is not paid, Ucademy may report the delinquent account to credit bureaus.

Please note that all of these proposed changes aim to maintain the sustainability of our programs and our ability to offer flexible payment options. We are committed to working with students to ensure the best outcomes for students and will continue to provide support in managing tuition payments.
